Hi, another problem from me, the mp3 player http://www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/MyMemory/Micro/SD/MP3/Player (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp^QS^affiliateID=17278^QA^merchantID=884^QA^programmeID=2718^QA^mediaID=0^QA^tracking=^QA^url=http%3A//www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/MyMemory/Micro/SD/MP3/Player) which gets great reviews from folks on here is giving me probs, I bought a Kingston 512 sd card and using windows media copied my cd tracks over to mp3 format, the tracks play fine through my card reader but when played through the mp3 player the sound is broken and slow sounding.

I thought it was the player and returned it but the second player is just the same ?, am I unlucky and have two duff players or am I doing somting wrong ? I have tried many headphones and still get poor playback.

Does anyone else have this problem or have any advice ?

Thaks as allways.

I don't have personal experience of this player but have been looking at getting one of its ilk. I pay close attention to the bitrate the player(s) are capable of and this one's specs indicate that it will support 32kbps upto 192kbps. Could it be that you have ripped them at a non-compatible or variable bit rate (they sometimes specifically mention vbr compatibility)?

Thanks for the reply, I just stumbled on somthing posted elsewhere, I copied the files at 310 I think so I presume I will have to redo the files and set the max bitrate to 192kbps, am I right in saying this will reduce the quality but give extra capacity on my 512 card ?

Is there a better compression software I should use to transfer my disks to mp3 format at 192kbps or less with high sound quality ?

Thanks again.
