View Full Version : How do I fix an LG DVD-3200e OR recommend me a bargain bucket multiregion player
Got an LG 3200e years ago from Techtronics (before I heard they were gash) and never had a problem with it. Moved back home and it's been boxed up for a month or 2, unpacked it and tryed turning it on but every part of the LCD display lights up, no output to TV or anything. I can open/close tray but that's it. Anyone know of anykind of 'reset' for it?
Failing that, whats a decent bargain bucket multiregion player?
Cheers

Well when you store stuff it can get a few knocks. Was the LG hardware modded to multiregion? I mean could there be a modchip inside that has come loose? Might be worth visually checking inside for any obvious problems. Might also be worth unplugging all internal cables and reconnecting them. The fact the display is completely lit up might mean there is a problem with the cable that goes from the display to the main pcb. However its a real possibiliity that a pcb component has failed or the psu is struggling/failing. I always think its worth having a play around and trying a few things before chucking something out though.
A replacement won't cost much money though. You can get dvd players delivered for less than £20 (Amazon). Its all down to what functionality you need and what quality of output you are prepared to pay for. Personally I think even the £20 players are as good as most people need nowadays. They often have a great picture and the only thing that is really mediocre about them is audio cd playback and of course their cheap looks.
