View Full Version : A bit worried about "See Tickets" - anyone used them?
Hi all,
Ordered some tickets for a gig on 2nd July through their website.
Still not received tickets, despite the fact that my sister in law is going to same gig and has had her tickets from another online agent for weeks.
The online tracking states "tickets will be sent when received from promoter" - but the promoter clearly has released tickets
Ive mailed them but had no reply.
Anyone used them before?
Cheers

have used them several times before and the tickets came very quickly - couldn't fault them.
I'm sure that your tickets will be with you in plenty of time.

They may not release them all at once (print them in batches).

If it's Oasis on that same day I am waiting too but I have used them loads of times as both Way Ahead and See Tickets.
They are probably holding onto them as late as possible to prevent forgeries and make all those ebay touts sweat! :p

I used them when they were called wayahead too. Small gigs tickets came fast but bigger ones came with not much time to spare, either they havent been printed yet or they wanna stop folk listing them on eBay? :p
I'm still waiting for my 2nd July Oasis tickets too :(

I used them to get tickets for the Destiny's Child Concert and didn't receive my tickets until 3 weeks before the concert. Had me worried but they arrived, just keep checking the online status of them and you will be ok.

Used them twice and can't fault them. Their website timed out on me when buying BLS tickets so I purchased another pair. The original transaction had gone through and despite the website saying that they don't give refunds, they refunded the tickets plus return postage in full. Took a while to get through to them in the first place (email/phone) but very impressed.
Tori Amos tickets only turned up 2 weeks before the gig because they hadn't been printed.
Don't worry, they say to call them 5 days before the gig if you haven't received them.
Maybe 2nd July is a funny date for them as I'm waiting for coldplay tickets for the Glasgow concert on the 2nd from them?

The only problem with See is they're using a different courier now, rather than just Special Delivery, so they don't always come with your main post which can lead to sitting in all day because they won't give you even a vauge morning/afternoon idea when they'll be delivered. It's hit & miss which courier they use, though.

Used them a few times and they are SLOW SLOW SLOW.
Complained to them about tickets I had bought 4 (FOUR!) months in advance and got nothing until 10 days before gig. The guy on the phone alluded that it was to deter touts. All it did was deter me from going to gigs where See Tickets are the only reseller.
And they'll send you an email after a month and say "don't contact us ever, we don't have the tickets" blahdyblah. 4 months of interest on, eg, 2000 20quid tickets, that's a creamy profit on top of the handling charges.
Geldof should be on their case soon I shouldn't wonder...
(NB Tickets have always arrived in time, just leads to stress, inability to give tickets as gifts etc, but how hard is it to print some tickets, it doesn't take four months...)

The slow despatch thing may not be See's fault. It might well be the promoters who are trying to reduce touting...

My mate works for a firm that is used to deliver the tickets from promoters to seller and they have been getting later and later to deter forgeries and touts.
They have to be particularly careful with Glastonbury and the other big gigs.

How long after dispatch notices/emails have people received their tickets? I have emails for 2 orders saying dispatched Friday and Sunday, but have received neither set yet...

Phone them and hassle, it's the only way.
I received an Email saying my tickets were despatched, and should receive them within 3 to 5 days. A week later and no sign of them prompted me to call, only to be told they were 'on hold' - I asked why this was, they had no idea, but promised I'd receive them the next day 'guaranteed'.
That day came and gone with nothing in the post for me - rang them again, they were still on hold!! Manaegd to get them delivered on the Friday, a whole two days before I was due to drive to Manchester to see U2. Utterly, utterly hopeless.
Get them called and see what's going on! :)
