Right, I've got my migration code of Virgin.net, and wish to sign up to plus.net. What exactly is the procedure here? Do i need to cancel my contract with virgin.net and then signup with plusnet, or by migrating to plusnet will they automatically cancel my virgin.net subscription or what...?

Im a bit confused as you can probably tell, so any help would be much appreciated. :)

dont cancel otherwise you'll be without BB for 2-3 weeks.
just call plusnet, or fill in the online form, give them your mac code and thats it

plus net sort it out afterwards.

if oyu want to read up on this kinda thing - check out adslguide.org
loads of info and probably every question you have will be answered there already :)

As tomos said, just go to the Plusnet site and sign up - very easy as I did it a few weeks ago.

Migration code didn't work at all for me when we changed our provider a month ago. We got a MAC code off our current provider and gave it to the new one to handle the migration. We got up and running with the new one, and lo and behold last week we get a bill from our old provider! Upon phoning them they had no idea we had migrated! Ridiculous.

Cheers folk, have done the deed with plusnet but will check with virgin that they've cancelled me once i'm gone. So will Virgin charge me a full month even if I am transfered partway through the month?

there is a virgin thread on adsl guide and it seems that almost everybody that has left has been charged i even noticed a few people phoning thier credit card company and saying they had lost thier card so virgin couldnt take any money!!! a little extreme i know.
i have just migrated from virgin to plusnet yippee so i will let you know if i get billed from virgin(i did phone my cc company to try and stop virgin taking money but they wouldnt let me do it and told me i would have to claim it back from virgin and if i still have no joy let them know and they will sort it)
