RESERVES
If you would like to become a reserve please let me know. It would be advantageous if you could get everything set up and play a few online games against other members as I would like reserves to be able to step in straight away. If you have played some online games against forum members I will guarantee you a place in Season 5.
Once the season has kicked off, Reserves will step straight into the shoes of whoever has dropped out.

It is HIGHLY recommended that you also get an MSN account as 99% of league members communicate with each other through MSN. Below are the current contact lists for PES. All the players have all been broken down into their respective leagues. Download the file then in MSN Messenger select Contacts from the top menu and then Import contacts from file. Any contacts you don't currently have will be added. If you want to create a group of all pes players/your league etc you'll have to do that yourself.

My ADSL finally came back up yesterday (680kb down, 55kb up), so I won't miss out as I thought I would. I'm away from July 2nd till July 12th. I will have to have all my games played prior to this - and hope to start this weekend at some point (my pc is unavailable right now - hope to have it available by Sunday ish).
I will make myself very available to get all the games played, so I'd appreciate it if everyone in my division could help me by adding me to their msn and keeping an eye out for me. Ideally I'd like to have all games played with a few days to spare.
No point in including me in the world cup, obviously.

have followed what you said bolch about import contacts from file but then i have to browse to where saved them to but they do not show cuz it is only looking for *.ctt files these are msn contact files
Johnny rename it from .xml to .ctt !
Thats what i did and it worked :thumbs:

Warming up in readiness now - up to about 85/90% now after a top series of friendlies with Baps. Started off absolutely stone cold after a week off from Pro Evo but have begun to crank it up a bit now :D

First game was really even just one with a good cross, only real clear cut chance.
Second game was all Steve, totally dominated, i had no shot first half and one shot second which i scored. Didn't deserve the draw but that football :D

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh this is bugging me now damn msn this is what is happening
i decided to do a clean sweep of msn contacts so i deleted all my contacts and was left with none
i imported the divisions and made groups all went well till i signed in again and it came up with my old contacts and the ones i just done
i have tried it several times and am left with 20 pro evo divisions lol in groups
i even re d/l msn but that didnt work either

Yea, thanks for the games StevieP, I was very lucky to get anything in the second game, and it was one of those goal mouth scrambles that normally don't go anywhere!! You hit the bar and the resuly in the second game could easily of been reversed,

2 quality games. First game the score sums up the match. Great chances either side full of action. 2nd game I feel for Ronaldo9, he was 1-0 up then conceeded an own goal. My 2nd was down to a defending mistake and it totally turned around the pacve of the game

hardtofin was unlucky in the first, he got a player sent off for not much of a foul just before half time and i scored just after the free kick and then again before half time and it knocked the stuffing out of him i think.
Second game was pretty even i just manged to slot my chances home.

First game was a mess in more ways than one, with the game having to be replayed - John was winning 2-0 and won the return 4-1. Second game was much tighter.
Can see John doing well with this team, as they are very, very strong, and the two strikers are fantastic, when they stay on the pitch :lol:

First game saw a late balls up I think at my end with 5 mins to go with me leading 2-0 leading to a disconnect/crash. Game was therefore replayed with a 1-0 advantage to me. The actual match therefore finished 4-1 to me but 5-1 in total. Barlow had 2 men red carded for disgusting, sickening tackling on the 2 Samba Stars in Rivaldo and Giovanni. One of them was injured in all 3 games - twice they actually got stretched off :mad:
Second game was far tighter though I scored first in the 80th minute only to let in an almost instant equaliser leading to the final score.

First game was pretty much all Frank. Second I had a few more chances, but couldn't put away any of the half chances I got. My keeper still had to save the day a couple of times, too.
Cracking fun those two games. I think that Div 1 is going to be very tight this season, as I think the majority of the players in there are at about the same level.
I should be up for a few Div 2 games tonight.
Just be warned though - I'm really a brilliant player and easily the favourite for our division and I have the best Dutch team as well in PSV. I can't see myself losing any games or conceding any goals this season. Nope. None.

CHeers for the friendlies - god I am rusty! I think it finished something like 2 wins, 1 draw (which he won in extra time) and 4 defeats. I'm going to have to play a fair few more games before I start the league games!

you have had over 2 weeks to practice but u would rather play silly online fantasy games and put pro rvo on a back burner
so now the guys who have been practising have to wait till you are ready

I had a lot of chances in the first match but Bobwindy managed to stop me from scoring with some good last ditch tackles (though Marlet and Cheyrou missed a sitter each). I thought Bobwindy was going to nick the win when he missed a great headed chance not long before the end.
In the second match it was pretty much the same thing but I finally got a goal from a goalkeeping mistake and that started me scoring. Both tough games until the keeping error.

Possibly the two most frustrating games i've ever played. Did everything but score in the 1st and in the 2nd I hit the bar twice in the 2nd half :cry:
What made matters even worse is in the 3 friendlies before hand I won 3 in a row and scored about 10 in total :cry:

We played three friendlies first, and they were very disillusioning as I lost 3-0, 4-1 and 5-1.
I decided there and then I might as well play the officials, and then quit playing at the end of the season. Figuring I'll never catch up as I don't get enough time to play.
Matt was really unlucky in both games - my keeper saved almost everything, and the bar saved me twice.
Mind you, I missed an open goal!
Thanks Matt, I still think you're a show in for a promotion place. Me I'll be very lucky to escape relegation!

If the last season hadn't been such a disaster with people not playing, I could probably have got some practice in. As it is, by the time the teams got picked, I had other committments on the pc. I still do, but they went on the backburner today.

Is there anyway of sorting out jerky graphics? I have an Athon XP 2500 512mb Ram and ATI Radeon 9800 Pro and I thought that it should play quite smooth at least. I'm on 640x480 on Medium resolution and it still jerks with vsync on. :(

there are a few things you need to try fsheehan try these
pro evo plays much better at 60htz res so make sure you running at this
in bios turn off fast writes
also turn off v sync
make sure u have the latest ati drivers
that should run smooth with that set up you have a prob somewhere

I think it the lag is that bad then you should pause the game and tell the other player straight away so that something can be done - e.g. let the other player host. It's a bit unfair to wait until half-time when you are already 2-0 down to say anything as it's too late to do anything about it by then.

I've never played anyone on here with anything like lag, and I play all of my games as client.
fsheehan - What is your desktop refresh-rate set at? I find, that if I set mine to 85 and turn vsync on in games, it will stutter badly, and thats on an Athlon 320064 with a 6800gt and 2 GB of RAM...I think it's a bug in the game tbh...

Actually, I'm looking at it now and I think I have a good chance of escaping relegation or reaching the relegation playoff - especially if I play a few more friendly games. With only 10 teams it'll be a very tight division but I think I am capable of taking points off everyone in the division,. Of course, being capable and actually doing it are two very different things!

I think my big prob with Andybhoy was I was getting more and more and more frustrated after the 1st half in the 1st game. I was cursing, swearing, throwing the pad and the like :doh:
Had a evening at the cinema and its made me realise this - its only a friggin game - enjoy it, its not a matter of life and death :D

I had a 9800Pro and ran and full res with no problems.

You couldn't get more different games, gunner completely out played my first game, the score was closer than it should have been.
The second game i was 4 up with 20mins, gunner pulled 2 back and my ring started to twitch :D 2 more from me settled it with Cissie scoring a hat trick :thumbs:

I've actually got an ATI AIW 9800se soft modded to 9800 pro with the latest 5.6 Catalyst Drivers. Seems to run fine on other games ie Farcry on mostly full detail and high quality textures.
I'm just defragging my hard disk now and there seems to be a bit of spyware which I've removed. I'm also trying to disable unecessary services and disable McAfee's on access scan.
I'll let you know how I get on.

there are a few things you need to try fsheehan try these
pro evo plays much better at 60htz res so make sure you running at this
in bios turn off fast writes
also turn off v sync
make sure u have the latest ati drivers
that should run smooth with that set up you have a prob somewhere
Already have my refresh rate to 60hz as native rate for my TFT monitor is that. I also play in through the telly and jerking is still there so it's not the TFT response time.
I'll try turning fast writes off and disabling vsync to see what happens. As above, I'm already using latest catalyst drivers.

steviep 1 - 2 Fsheehan.
1st game was a bit of a lacklustre affair, with neither team creating much in the way of chances. My goals coming from an early 2nd minute attack, then a 2nd half penalty.
2nd game, Fred took a 2-0 lead with 2 lovely headers. A Penalty in the 83rd minute gave me a bit of hope, but the chance for an equaliser went begging when an injury time shot hit the crossbar, casuing a goalmouth scramble, which Fred managed to clear.
Division 3 Result
Spurs (Belly) 0 - 1 (Gunner) Birmingham
Very tight, but Belly must be a bit annoyed to not get at least a point. Spurs had the better of it, but a last minute Pandini goal stole 3 points. Unlucky mate.
Birmingham 1 - 0 Spurs
Much of the same. I socred a bit earlier and managed to hang on. Spurs always looking likely to score whenever they attacked the **** Brum back 4. Managed to hold on for the win.

Couldn't believe this game. I hit the post twice and the crossbar twice and his keeper saved about 11 other shots, often at point blank range headers and the like. His keeper was a god :eek: - I was literally pulling on my hair and clenching my teeth - I just couldn't get it in :cry:
Then, in the 93rd minute my forward found a little room on the edge of the box and clipped it over the advancing keeper, which was the last kick of the game :clap:
Gutted that I didn't help my GD as I really should have had a couple more, with all due respect to Sapo :)
Only odd thing is we couldn't play our second game as when Sapo's hosted the game ran at 1 mph for both of us? Any ideas?

Early lead for the Turks before the Greeks pulle done back after 30 mins. Tuncay then played a one-two off the keeper and slotted home just before half time to make it 2-1..
2nd half saw Fenerbache down ten men :oh-hum: Panathanikos took full advantage before I could reshuffle the defence and walked the equaliser in.. :|
Bizarrely ric flair's defence then seemed to go awol leaving my three strikers to weave pretty triangles and create chances almost at will - thankfully this time they all fell to Tuncay who nabbed a deserved second half hat-trick to add to his 1st half goal..
Needed that - I'm in relegation dogfight already.. :cry:

I think most of my players do that, one arm on a shoulder and they just fall over or lose the ball, no strength on the ball at all they just get shoved off it all the time.
Oh yeah, the annoying git is John Stead formerly from where I live(Huddersfield), I guess he's light as a feather coz he's good in the air but he can be a fire safety rep the amount of barrel rolls he does when he feels someone breathing down his neck! :nuts: :D

The Greeks are marching having taken 8 points from 12 out of 2 of the preseason favourites now. Played some quality stuff in game 1 but got pegged back to 2-1 before Giovanni sealed it. Second game I dominated till midway into the 2nd period when Bolch stole 2 goals from his only 2 attempts on goal to lead with 10 mins or so to go. Giovanni though managed to snatch me a draw with 2 mins to go :D
Feeling pretty good about a top 3 finish this season with the Greek Gods! :D

2 Absolutly mind numbingly boring games. Olympiacos were stronger than Lesbo who spent most of the game tripping over laces. Coupled with every yawn fest tactic in the book (wide forward, crosses, drag backs) had me falling asleep first game. Decided to try it myself in the second and scored 2 crosses with John getting a late equiliser. Afterwards John said what a great game, I corrected him on this he then had a quick snipe and quit the game before I could retort :lol:

First game was crazy. I scored a cheap cross pretty much straight from kick off. Managed to turn Baps defender 20 mins later and Baps did what Baps does best and went down to 10 men. Exactly same thing happened 2 mins later, Baps got a yellow card and I scored from the free kick. After that every time I turned Baps defenders Baps went for "the tackle" and when he hit 3 reds I realised he was going for a Lou style 3-0 loss rather than risk anything greater and the game turned into a battle of wits after that. I knew I could get a goal difference of more than 3 so was trying to stop Baps from getting those tackles in. Was passing it a lot earlier than I would, turning on funny angles to prevent the tackle. In the end I think Baps got 4 reds and 3 players on yellows!
2nd game was a nightmare for me. Had 17 shots on net and didn't score one. Every shot was saved by Baps on form keeper or was wider than Rick Waller. Had about 4 free kicks which came really close to scoring from and keeper had to parry away. Credit to Baps though he managed to get 2 players through my defence and score.

Go behind after 2 mins to a fluky header and then get a man sent off.. 2 more lisbon goals in quick succession makes it 3-0 and I'm in the mire.. Van Helmet pulls one back before the aforementioned grey-arrowed Alex sticks one in his own onion :oh-hum:

2 Absolutly mind numbingly boring games. Olympiacos were stronger than Lesbo who spent most of the game tripping over laces. Coupled with every yawn fest tactic in the book (wide forward, crosses, drag backs) had me falling asleep first game. Decided to try it myself in the second and scored 2 crosses with John getting a late equiliser. Afterwards John said what a great game, I corrected him on this he then had a quick snipe and quit the game before I could retort :lol:

Totally did not deserve to win 3-0 in the first, think I only had 3 shots to your many.
Second game I was playing better, but a good goal gave you the lead until late on, scored an equaliser, screamed like a girl, and then had you score from the subsiquent kick off. Thankfully clawed one back with a trademark Pandini scramble, :gag:

the reason i watch the replays are as follows
a: so i can see and analyze the goal hoping to spot a weakness in your defence
b: during the day my 7 year old lad watches at weekends (hes even beaten some of you guys in freindlies without you knowing lol ) he likes to watch the replays if i score
c:this team of crud i have dont score many so its nice to watch when they do

was tit for tat in first game i missed a pen early on could have been anyones game THEN DISASTER STRUCK
for some @@@@@@@@@ unknown reason my start button stuck hence entering the menu on and off 3 times then play resumed and i lost the use of my shoulder buttons and my circle and triangle button so i was playing virtually the whole of second half with just x and square and because i had entered menu 3 times i could not inform ono of the problem i had to reboot and reinstall for second game
secong game i took my chances ono kept trying these damn 40 yard goals if they had all gone in could have been 10-3 lol

2 really good games Steviep, end to end in both. i was a bit gutted at the loss of the 2nd game, my gf came in and spoke to me and i looked away and you scored! couldn't believe it.

The second game was probably one of the worst I have ever played. My team were second to every single ball and I didn't have a single shot on goal in the entire match - unlucky isn't the word I'd use to describe it :(
