We did play the second game but Phayze had problems with Bulldog changing his IP in the middle of the game.
Same happened to me while playing phayze, very strange, have you spoken to bulldog to see why this happens as surely it shouldn't while your connected.
Possible idea for next 2 seasons?
Standard League 5 / With Seeded FA CUP starting at mid point
Standard League 6 / With totally random World Cup at mid point
However - While both of these are running we have a Super League. 1 League table with all 40+ players on. Pick any national team (duplicates allowed). That way everyone will of played everyone else at some point. Everyone will be happy as they can have whatever team they fancy playing with and those who'd like larger leagues will get one. We could even span the Super League over 3 seasons if needed.

Sounds good to me, im guessing most people will pick the same teams so it will look a bit strange having 20 arsenal teams but at least it will stop people moaning about crap teams they get :thumbs:

Luckily I have a friend who works at BD who's sorting it out for me - there's a load of CRC errors on the line suddenly, and it drops every 1/2 hour ish. It's not noticable while you're browsing, because the router just picks it back up again, but for PES, it's annoying to say the least...
I like it. Definately needs to be over 3 seasons, but the problem there is people's ability to maintain the interest for that long. Come Aug 9th, I'm back off to WE9, and probably won't play PES4 again...

Daz: They're will be some team overlap but I think it will be a bit more evened out. Man U, Arse, Inter, R.Madrid, Barca will all feature quite heavily. I just dread having to watch Henry's ghey goal celebration every 5 minutes in every other game :| ******

But the idea of a single league is an exciting one though - lower league players get their chance to step up against all Premier League players and we'll see how we all end up :thumbs:

If he wants to replay (if goals diff is an issue) then obviuosly I will, but I guess he'll take the win and hopefully my apology if I did host both.

How does everyone else feel? Obviously if we allow duplicates then it means you can play with that dream team you've always wanted to draw and evens the playing field slightly. However if you all want unique it means we'd have to draw up a seeding system (or I'd have to go back and do the WEFA Rankings) to determine what the pecking order is. Bearing in mind season 2 when 20 choices in the better teams had been picked, imagine bigjonny's outrage at being 30th choice! In fact, there's an argument for unique teams if ever I heard one!
Lets hear it guys, do you want a 1 off any team competition giving you the team you want or unique teams making the game more interesting and might even the playing field as the lower divisions would get better teams than the higher division players.
Andybritcliffe has taken a new role at work involving more travel so has opted out of the World Cup and the League. Tables will be updated to reflect this tonight

Yup, I'm a WE-hobo, I never stick to one version for long, and I've been jonsing for some 2-player ML action recently. Come October I'll be back though with PES5.

See what you mean, but there's always the option to opt out of a league. You could even only sign up for the tournament next season if you have probs playing?

I'm tempted to get we9 while I wait on pes5.
I'll be playing in the league next season for sure - regardless of the division I'min - I'm already feeling a little refreshed froma break, and I'm away for a couple of weeks soon so will be looking to play when I get back.
Superleague would be cool, give everyone a chance to prove who is the daddy.

WE9 will not be released on the PC in Japan - the only Winning Eleven game that will appear will be the US version and that won't appear till after PES 5 arrives on the PC.
Don't know why people are getting worried that the leagues will become a lame duck - yeah, WE9 will arrive next month and it will be better than Pro Evo 4 but can you get online and play in these quality leagues with it? No.
Even when Pro Evo 5 arrives, it'll take a little while till the Wolf Patch or equivalent arrives so I won't be really playing it till that arrives on the scene :D

It looks like we did play both the games with finlab at home. You said it was your home game before we started and I didn't bother checking.
Not sure if I want to play it or not. It could definately go down to goal difference for the promotion play-off spot - if I beat brendonw in my last game and dazkelly wins both his or if i lose to brendonw and dazkelly doesn't get 4 points from his last 2 games. However if we replay and I lose then I could be relegated or in the relegation play-off game. Do I have to decide now? If so I think I would have to take the result as it stands :)

Another possibility could be running a ladder alongside the leagues where people could play as many or few games as they like. Maybe this could be based on a ranking system and you could get a different number of ranking points depending on which players you beat or drew with.

It would be in addition to the normal leagues, but you can opt out if you don't fancy it - I'm not going to make you play :nuts:. I can't see many dropping out, it's easy to spot the "regulars".

Oh the excitement of it - I know for an absolute fact that if we end up with free choice, I certainly won't be picking any major team (Brazil, England, France, Spain, Argentina etc). Already have a team in mind who I will be selecting - but I really, really, really, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly hope we got with the sane option of no duplicate teams :thumbs:

If everyone played with the same team then it is all about ability.
I enjoyplaying the game, but playing as Birmingham like I have this season means I have lost games that I know I would of won with a better team. It is not an ideal solution, however there could be no complaints if anyone loses.

But that is the fun of the league - playing with sides that you'd just never ever pick if you had free reign. I know I would NEVER have gone with Rivaldiakos if I could choose any club side but having played with them, then have been a really enjoyable side to play with. I know in season 5, I could be lumbered with an absolutely piece of **** and finish bottom but that is the luck of the draw. If you had got your hands on Arsenal, then I bet you'd have been a very happy chappy :p

I do agree mate, if I had Man U or Arsenal (preferably Liverpool) then I would of been very happy. However at the same time, I would not be fickle enough to believe I am the best player just bcause I beat the worse teams.

Oh and having duplicate teams sucks arse. We could have a seeded picking order, i think thats the way forward.
Seeding pecking order will always be the case for the normal leagues. The Super League is one off for those wanting to participate. Idea behind any team was obviously it gives people a chance to play with who they want for a change and could make for some more even matches.

Wonder goal from Robben in the first match. (well for me anyway - it was outside the box to the top corner). Phayze connection dropped and in the second match, forsell scored the second. Finally a win. Bit late for this season but practise is definately helping.

Been busy @ work this week so this is the first time I've been on the net all week. :(

I may struggle to get my games finished on time. I'm going to be pretty busy Thursday and Friday as well.

******* ref gave two identical pens when my keeper gets the ball but Bellamy falls over him. Gets two yellow cards and is sent off. SS converts both pens.
I get a pen but SS keeper just about saves it the rebound falls to Sukurs feet and he hits the ******* post.
Second game no dodgy ref and I dominate although SS said there was abit of lag after 30 mins.

I was lucky to get three points from the first game as the ref for some reason (and no I didn't visit the ref's dressing room before the game) liked me.
You gotta laugh at pes4 sometimes because no way they were pens. I did feel a bit guilty and got a man sent off myself in the first minutes of the second half to even it up a bit. :lol:
2nd game couldn't get into it. Not sure if the lag was my end or I had controller lag or something.
Anyways just glad to get the 2 games over with.

c) It made me freak out when I heard a helicopter go over in real life later that night :nuts:

Went one nil up in the first game then got a player sent off which resulted in a converted pen. After that the game went very laggy for some reason and really ******** me off. :mad: :brickwall
The trooper that I am, I decided to play on, as I was a man down anyways.
An own goal decided the second game.
Ronaldo9 didn't complain of any lag when I hosted so I'm not sure what to think about my recent client games.

Had to actually play it as an away game - whenever Hardtofin connected to me, it would accept the game, then hang at the loading screen, then disconnect. I think that's 14 games, I'll be back next Saturday/Sunday to pick up the rest of the games.

Also disappointed in the fact that I was 2-0 to the good just after half time and then let it slip. TBH my defence and goalie led a charmed life sometimes but in the build up to PJG's equaliser twice an advantage was played by the ref when I should have had a free kick but it all evens itself out in the end.

dood, the first game was about 9 shots on target to 3 in my favour. I remember cos i thought to myself 9 ******* shots on target and it took an OG for me to get a goal.

I know I have said it before, but Div 1 has been great fun this season. All the matches have been fairly close, with plenty of attacking variety

Good games, first game i played very good, and could finish for once. Second game both made chances but not much came from them. Kipp was unlucky on a couple of occassions, denied a pen, and hit the crossbar from 5 yards out, he got the winner in extra time.
EDIT: Sorry, thought dancleary had finished all his games.

Lou had to play both games as client.
First game he went 2-0 up, i then came bak to 2-2, and after that both created a load of chances, and both coming very close to taking the lead.
2nd game was close, lou took it 1-0 up, in last minute of half time, i then came bak to 1-1, and lou then took me down in the box, and i scored the pen. After that was very sense, noth having some very good chances.
good games mate. Unlucky.
Now in the prem and very happy to win, thought i would be on cards for being relegated this season :D
Just wonder how long i can survive in the prem. :clap:

After a marathon afternoon session, the final playoff has been settled.
2 very tight games, with neither side given much away.
The playoff was finally settled with a penalty shootout.

Two tight games as you say, although I think you just had the edge and hit the inside of the post with Henry in the 2nd game. I had a man sent off just into the 2nd half but still managed a couple of attempts on goal.
Shoot out - well what can you say.

We'd prefer it if there was just one thread per format this game appears on (as per the rule of thumb for all other games). League organisers feel free to start a new thread.
I'd also suggest all members refresh themselves on the T&Cs of this site as we've noticed that these threads have generated a large number of reports to us.
