I heard a while ago that Universal were planning a DD/DTS Ultimate Edition of this. Any news? I sold my DD copy and now I want to see the movie again!
Universal US said that they are planning an 'Ultimate Edition' for next year:
Details so far:
Anamorphic Widescreen
DD/DTS
2 discs
Should have all the extras of the current US DD release
May have more extras
No release date yet
Whats the point? There nothing wrong with the original disc!!! Your better off going for the R4 version. All the extras of the R1 and PAL picture.

The R1 DTS Version has a superb DTS track at the full rate of 1536kbps and an excellent Anamorphic 16x9 2.35:1 ratio.

I don't know how that's possible considering it's shot in 1.85:1?
Is the image cropped? I have the R2 version (it was only £5.99 from Tesco) and it looks rather poor on my new WS TV...:(

That's prolly cause the R2 is non-anamorphic?

The UK R2 is. The Danish R2 however IS anamorphic AND includes all the extras from the R1.

As already said above, the R4 is anamorphic, 5.1, has a commentary + the 87 minute documentary. Not to mention it's very cheap from all the aussie sites, it's also region 2 encoded.
