Bottleneck on games?

GEFORCE 3 GC

What GC card will be bottlenecked if I stick with xp1700, whats the max GC before I notice NO difference?

I went to a 9800 Pro with an XP2400 and noticed a fair difference over the Ti4600 it replaced. You'd probably get "a" difference with just about anything, but as you'll be going AGP (presumably) I don't think it would be worth the expense of going beyond a 9800 Pro as you wouldn't have much of an upgrade path for the future. I would have thought the CPU would definitely be the big issue with that swap.

Depends on the resolution and game.

But IMO I noticed a big change going from a GF3 to a GF6 on a 1.1 athlon (now a A64 3g).

If nothing else you get higher resolution and better features with no drop in frame rate...
