My mum and dad just came home with one of these players from Safeway and despite it being a 'made in china' special, it is set to Region 2 only.

I'm sure there must be a way of making it multiregion so does anyone have any ideas?

I rang the helpline number in the manual and they say it's region 2 only. I'm hoping it's not...

Thanks

Remember reading in one of the dvd mags that the reoc player has the same innards as the minato player from tesco, so try the remote hack for that. Should be listed on the dvd times site.
hope this helps. Let us know if it works!

Was looking at this today. Does anyone else have one?

If so, what's it like? Can it definately be hacked?

The Reoc is featured in Januarys' What Hi Fi,got a good write up,anyway the hack is - press open/close on the handset, key in 9999 or 8421 and a screen appears showing the region set.Press the enter key repeatedly to choose the region you want-9 is region free, then press open/close to shut the drawer-and thats it.
