I don't have XBOX Live so I'll just be there in spirit, or something. What happened to the original competition started when Rallisport Challenge 2 was first released? That was great fun.

It will be 5 events, each one different, and yes you can race on your own :)

The start date for this tournament is 30/4/2005 PST (8 hours behind UK time). So that's 8am on 30th April 2005 (Saturday).
The event deadlines are:
Season Round One Deadline: Tuesday 3/5/05 07.59 AM BST
Season Round Two Deadline: Friday 6/5/05 07.59 AM BST
Season Round Three Deadline: Monday 9/5/05 07.59 AM BST
Season Round Four Deadline: Thursday 12/5/05 07.59 AM BST
Season Championship Deadline: Sunday 15/5/05 07.59 AM BST
To set up the event so you can set your times, you will need to enter some codes in the game.
On Rallisport 2, sign into Xbox Live. On the menu, choose Xbox Live > XSN Sports. Then enter the competition name (APRIL MAY 2005) and then the competition password (92436885). This will log the competition in the menu. To participate in the event, you must enter the Event password, which will be revealed on the homepage of the tournament when that event begins.
You can race the event as many times as you like while it is active over the period of 3 days, with your best time counting.
The five events are as follows:
Event 1: Rally - Great Britain - SS3 - Ashford Keep 2
Class: Group B2
Event 2: Hill Climb - USA (Grand Canyon) - Mesa Roja Base
Class: Hill Climb 2
Event 3: Crossover - Monte Carlo - Coline – 2 Laps
Class: Classic
Event 4: Rally Cross - USA - Pretzel - 3 Laps
Class: Rally Cross 2
Event 5: Ice Racing - Canada - Lodge - 3 Laps
Class: Ice Racing 2
Points are awarded per event in order of fastest time, with the fastest getting most down to the slowest getting least. Points are totalled at the end, and most wins.
No collisions this time (ghosts with friends) so you don’t have to do your times on your own, should you wish not to without fear of hitting the other person and compromising your time.

There is on your image in the top bit above where it says "Competition Home" it's called "Join Competition" ;) . I actually went to the XSN home for Rallisport and then used join competition. I put in the comp name using cut and paste from your home page to find it then entered the pwd and that's it. But using the join competition off your page should do the same. I did flip to IE rather than Firefox as the top menu bit I needed wouldn't appear.
Hmmm he said he tried that, so I figured there might need to be something else. I'll check again, thanks.

Hi there,
Just wondered if you are going to race in this. Round 1 started on Saturday and effectively ends today.
I'm going to have a go today. :)
This evening. In case you've never played one of these before you find the insomniacs (not me btw) try and beat times in the early hours :) The stated end dates are PST based so are 8 hours behind us. The end dates for the UK are always 8am ish the next day although in practice if you leave it too close to the wire the score won't be registered.

Those first few times are near impossible to beat, absolutely no idea how you guys got those. Incredible :thumbs:

That last turn is a right bugger. The 2 corners after the hairpin catch me out every time, just can't get the line right through there and can never carry any speed through to the tarmac section :brickwall
One is a slight right into a medium left, absolutely kills me that does.

That's the one...if I could get that section right I reckon I could lop a second or two off my best time :shrug:
I've had about 10 goes at it so far and not even got close to sorting it out, as I either catch the inside wall on the apex of the medium left or overcook it and slide into the wall on the right :doh:

i seem to be ok on the tarmac near the end :shrug: but am pants at the corners near the beggining of the track :doh: i am now using another car just because you can have it lime green :D

Don't be so negative :)!! Looking at the scoreboard, after 2 runs you've already gained 4 points this round alone with a respectable time, nice work :)

I've been struggling to find time to get any practice in for this comp. Which is a shame because i enjoyed the first one.
I didnt expect to get a reasonable time in last night, so was quite surprised at the time i ended up with.
When / If you do the next comp i'll make sure I have the time to give it my full attention.
Thanks for organising this Matt, its re-ignited my interst in this game after months of neglect.
It doesn't really matter that much about the amount of time you spend competing, or even if you're jockying for first/second etc really. So far everyone has always had someone around their level to compete with and as you say it re-ignites interest in the game which has to be a good thing IMO :)

That's very true. I found the last round really tough to suss out. You tend to work out where you should be aiming around based on your competitors. Stevie's time made me have one last go (isn't it always thus) just to try and get inside him. Which I did :thumbs: (sorry Stevie!)
