I've had my DS for several months now and apart from Mario 64 and Wario Ware: Touched I haven't seen any games that I want to play.

There are loads on the horizon that I'm looking forward to (Bomberman, Castlevania, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing etc.), but these are all quite some way off.

I have had my PSP for around the same amount of time, but already have 5 games (Minna Golf, Densha de Go, Ridge Racer, Wipeout, Need for Speed) and there are several more that look good.

I love them both, but just where are the games for the DS? Lack of titles always seems to be the problem with Nintendo consoles.

Are there any 'must have' titles out in the next month or so?

EDIT: Just noticed that the Jap version of Bomberman is due out 19th May so I've had to order that. I wouldn't think Japanese text would be a problem with a Bomberman game.

UK release schedule for the next three months, only from what I remember though:

May:

Yoshi Touch and Go!
Need for Speed Underground 2
Pac Pix
Ultimate Brain Games
Goldeneye Rogue Agent

June:

Ridge Racer
Another Code
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

July:

Mario Kart DS
Animal Crossing DS
Bomrberman DS

There are a few more I think but this is all I can remember. Also the release list will look better by the end of May once E3 is over.

EDIT: Oh wait did you mean games released anywhere in the world not just the UK?

Hmmmm, July looks a good month.

Bomberman should be out in July yes, but I think Mario Kart + Animal Crossing are both due in September.

You really should get Zoo Keeper....

About the only thing is that list that interests me is "Another Code", and possibly Bomberman as it should be good multiplayer (not that I know anyone else with a DS in "real life")

Can't see Mario Kart being any good due to the control method - I can't see any racing games really working on the DS too be honest :(

Having played and enjoyed Ridge Racer on the PSP (before I sold my PSP), RR on the DS with its dire graphics would be like a slap in the face with a wet kipper - again, I just don't think the DS is suitable for racers as its pretty certain they will attempt to use the touch screen for control, and that is just never going to work.

Hated Animal Crossing on the Cube, but I'm strangely tempted on the DS...?!

Buy. Meteos.

That is all.

I'm tempted - have you played "Lumines" on the PSP? I had it and really liked that on the PSP - I've heard Meteos is pretty similiar? (which would be a GOOD thing)

Lumines & Meteos aren't particularly similar - I find Meteos to be much more urgent & befitting of a quick session than Lumines.

Anyway, for my dosh, Touch Kirby is the best game on the DS - loads of fun to be had there.

EDIT - also, check out this video for Ganbare Goemon on the DS - it looks mint.

I'll probably wait until these are listed on DVDSoon - I find portable games cost too much - one of my main issues I had with the PSP was the price of games - £32 / £33 seems to be the going rate - far too high! and its seems pretty tough to get DS games for much under £30.

£15 is my sweetspot really - for £30 I'd expect a full on console game.

I can't wait for Metos, but I really don't want the Jap version.. I know it's easily playable, and there's always that extra kitsch value, but I'm a fussy git at the best of times :D

I don't find Animal Crossing great on the GC, I don't really have time for it, but as you see the DS one sounds so much more appealing.

As for mutliplayer, I want decent multiplayer games, but I know the chance of me actually playing them is slim. I've only played multiplayer DS twice now, and the one other person I know who has a DS is someone I only see when out at night; call me cynical but I'm not sure a club is the best place for a DS game
