Puzzle Bobble Help!

When I had my ye olde playstation one of my favourite 2 player games was puzzle bobbble and specifically the 2 player mode.

The best thing about it wasnt the normal 2 player mode where you get random colours and make bubbles appear across the other players screen but the puzzle game where you both had the same pattern of bubbles and had to pop em all before your opponent and it saved the fastest times. Very manic and great fun with a beer or two.

Now I have a PC and Xbox and have tried various puzzle bobbles and clones but none of them have the 2 player puzzle mode the original PS had. Does anyone know of any puzzle bobbles (there are so many of em now) on xbox or PC that have this feature? No room underneath the TV for another console so cant go back to the PS (which is broken anyway)! :(

You tried the original arcade version on Mame?

Bolch beat me to it - try the version on mame (on either the pc or xbox).

Think the one i played the most though was the NeoGeo version. It had a really good 2 player mode.

Puzzle Bobble and Tetris - got them both on my phone (k700i). :thumbs:

Have you thought about running the PlayStation original on an emulator, either on your PC or your Xbox (if it is modded of course)?

Considered using an emulator, I even have the original PS disc and a special xbox, but not quite sure how to go about it.

Tried mame, the arcade versions dont have it but the neo-geo might and of course thats the only version I cant get working as it complains of missing files (as it does with all neo geo games)

So close...yet so far!

You need the neo geo bios files as well as the rom files foe MAME to run Neo Geo games. Google?

Thanks for the help guys got the neogeo version working on mame and.....it doesnt have the puzzle mode the PS version has goddamit! Back to the drawing board....

Collection Mode
