My 'Special' PS2 is have real trouble reading any DVD's so think its time to replace the laser, not bad considering ive had the PS2 for almost 5yrs now. Wheres the best place to get a replacement laser from, seen a major seller of them on ebay:

Not sure if thats a good price or not, any other places people know off to get a laser. Are they quite straight forward to fit also?

Might be easier to just get a new PS2?

Might as well get a reconditioned one from Sony rather than paying £30 for a replacement lens kit. Will probably only cost you £20 more and you get a guarantee as well.

From the research I've done, it's a good price.
