I know it is a long shot, but can anyone tell me the credits for the song that Hepcat Helm was listening to in the 2x20 episode "Humbug" when Mulder & Scully visited him at his workshop? Later, the same song was playing when the monster twin murdered Hepcat.
According to tv tome the song is 'Frenzy' by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, featured on the X-Files album Songs in the Key of X.

Thanks pjg. I have ordered this CD from Amazon (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/redirect-home^QS^tag=thedvdforums-21^QA^site=dvd). Seems to have a good collection of songs.

Watched 'Leonard Betts' for the first time in ages on Season 4 DVD M-Lock and found three scenes that weren't shown when originally first transmitted by Sky One
These were 1) When Scully is about to cut into Betts' severed head in the autopsy room, the head blinks and moves its mouth, 2) Scully and Mulder examining the head together, when Mulder says "It makes a nice paperweight" and 3) Betts himself regrowing a new head through his mouth.
Has anyone else ever noticed this before? Sky must have cut these scenes out. I always thought they showed their material uncut.

Don't think I ever saw it when it was on the Beeb. I have the original transmission from Sky 1 still on tape so I checked and the cuts were there. My memory served me well

At the time, even though The X-Files was shown at 9pm, Sky were notorious for the cuts they made to the episodes. Some of the episode were cut by as much as 2 minutes, making them seem disjointed and often difficult to follow, with references made to things that were cut out by Sky.
I used to get tapes of the episodes sent to me from friends in the US and the difference was immediately apparant. Also, it wasn't just The X-Files that Sky butchered, they also hacked away at things like Buffy:TVS too. In fact, if I remember correctly, after showing a season of butchered episodes (season 5 or 6 I think it was) Sky made a big song and dance about showing a "late night" uncut version....Oooohh, big deal, Sky actually making a big thing about showing something they should have shown in the first place.
Anyway, Sky have a history of making excessive cuts in many US imported shows.

I used to watch X Files on BBC, but towards the end they began to treat it very badly. They would cancel it for weeks on end and kept shifting the time it was shown at. At around season 6, I stopped watching on BBC and began to watch on Sky. The thing I used to hate about Sky was the adverts. It used to especially annoy me that they would go to an ad break with 5 minutes of the show left. :brickwall
I never realised at the time that they cut the episodes, but having since seen them on DVD, I too have noticed many scenes that I don't remember from previous viewings.
Ah, thank goodness for DVD. :D

Thanx for the info would be good to have a list of which episodes were cut as I used to be an X-File nut.
