Hi Everyone,
Been asked by a family friend for some help on settling a dispute.
What is a hand consisting of the following cards worth:
6 - 6 - 6 - 6 - 4
He is saying it's 20 points, but someone else is saying 24. I've tried looking for a score card with no luck.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance
Nick

Unless i've missed something (quite possible) it's 12 (6 pairs)
If the 4 were a 3 then you'd have 6 pairs and 6 15s so 24

A pair of cards of the same rank score 2 points. Three cards of the same rank contain 3 different pairs and thus score a total of 6 points for "pair Royal". Four of a kind contain 6 pairs and so score 12 points.

I make it 12 as well.
Aye agree with above, the 4 doesn't score you anything in this case.....

Cheers guys,
Haven't got a clue myself. Thanks for all the replies. I'll pass them on.
Nick
You score 2 for each pair
2 for any combination scoring 15
1 for each card in a run of 3 or more
2 if turn a Jack as score card
This is also the scoring for the play of the cards with the aim to make exactly 31, which scores 2 points or if the last playable card takes it to a total of less than 31 then last card scores 1pt.
