Obviously as Nikki Sixx has returned to Motley Crue, it left The Brides without a bassist, but theyve got a new bassist now as well as a new second guitarist....

BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION have announced the addition of guitarist Ginger (THE WILDHEARTS) and bassist Scott Sorry (ex-AMEN) to the group's ranks. Ginger is scheduled to arrive in California from his native England on Sunday (Jan. 23) and spend the next two weeks assisting the rest of the group as they complete the songwriting process for their sophomore album.

As previously reported, BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION are scheduled to enter the studio on February 1 to begin recording the follow-up to last year's "Here Come the Brides", tentatively due in June. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "White Trash", "White Horse", "Blown Away", "Dead Man's Ruin", "Brotherhood" and "Criminal".

Ginger....excellent news! Even without Nikki, the Brides rock and will be around for a while yet,!

PO'd with the Crue reunion now - that's two awsome bands wrecked for one reasonable one. Yeah, BoD with Ginger will rock, but so did the Wildhearts ....

I've just read the press release from Ginger, sounds like he's feeling really low again. Strange I thought he was in good spirits on the recent tour Wildhearts tour with the Cardiacs and his acoustic shows just before.

I'll have to get hold of a copy of the Brides album to see what the fuss is about. Hope it's not the end of the Wildhearts tho.

If you read Gingers statement (http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/article.asp?ID=8427&type=NWS) he states he is not leaving the Wildhearts (you CANT leave the Wildhearts)....its just a break for personal reasons.

I know he will never "leave" the Wildhearts, but if this takes off for him I can see the Wildhearts becoming more of a side project. Ginger wants the recognition of being the great songwriter he is and if this gives it to him then I can see it becoming longer term than currently suggested.

I know what he says about his personal reasons and thats up to him, I'm just saying thats its not exactly a local pub band he is joining.

Looking forward to hearing the album and material from the new line up.
