Was Badly Drawn Boy taking the mick when he said "You can give me a Maxican wave at the back if you want"?

Either Stupid or Thick.

It's on BBC2 also, but only short bits by the looks of it and not live.

Can't get S4C on Sky here without paying I think.

Edit: You can get it by pressing 'red' on BBC2 to get the live feed uninterrupted. Might want to update the thread title to mention this :)

I wonder if Manics will play "Tsuanmi" ;)

That's news to me. Just checked and you're right. Normally I get a screen saying to phone some number to subcsribe. I assumed that's because my postcode is not one in Wales.

Anyway, just updated my post above to say you can get it on BBC interactive.

A little from column A, a little from column B, I think. One of the worst live acts I've ever stood through when he supported REM at Move. Ugh. Shambolic rubbish.

Well only caught the end of Charlotte Church's set and she sounded pretty amazing to me, will catch feeder live later and then watch the highlights at 11.

Just got back (back injury precluded me staying until the end unfortunately). All I can say is Wow - what a day! Chaarlotte Church's 1st song was a bit ropey but the rest of her set was excellent (better than I expected TBH). Keane rocked! Badly Drawn Boy did indeed start a Mexican Wave :nono: he was also very boring - no passion in any of his songs. I'd not heard Snow Patrol before but they were excellent. I did feel a bit sorry for Aled Jones as loads of people went for a break during his set (me included :D). Lemar & Craig David were both good (not really my type of music though), GLC were great as were Embrace.

Really glad we went even though we've spent a fortune and I'm cold and tired! Infact as I'm typing this Lulu has just announced that over £1,000,000 has been raised.

Edit: Just posted a few (mediocre) pics here: http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4860707#post4860707 if anyone is interested :)

I'm so gutted I couldn't make it to the gig - it looks/looked awsome.

Feeder were excellent and the Manics sounded pretty sweet too.

I hope this makes it to DVD - I expect with the money making potential it will.

LOL I haven't listened to much 'new' music in the last few years since I finished Uni'. I've tended to stick to old favourites.

Good gig, I sky+ it to watch this morning so that I could fast forward through all the dross.

Would have been a fairly good gig to go to; and from the line up they obviously made sure they catered for everyone's taste...BUT who ever was in charge of deciding line up order needs to be shot! Heather Small and Liberty X following the Manics! Come off it! :n0rty:

Flicked over to this twice on the telly last night. Both times Keane were on. It's as if the Gods of bad music were laughing at me.

Sam some great pictures. I was there on the floor.
enjoyed most of the acts. some of the highlights for me were Keane, Snow Patrol, Embrace, GLC, Kelly Jones and the Manics. the atomsphere was amazing i never seen so many people enjoying themselves mind you might have been down to the beer and the odd joint i could smell :)
Thought Charlotte Church was really good bit nervous to start and when she started singing "somewhere over the Rainbow" i thought oh god here we go. but fair play it was a good arrangement and sang really well.
Lemarr was enjoyable not really my cup of tea but i enjoyed his act.
Badly Drawn Boy well i though he was mumbling through his songs. thought i was hearing things when said Mexican wave. pretty dull.
great night pushed off after the Manics within ten mins i was homeward bound on the train.
what a night!!

I caught his set on interactive and it was the most boring, slowest and emotionless set i've ever seen. The guy has seriously lost the rock.

He managed to kill 'Local Boy' & Just Looking by slowing them down to a crawl, it seemed like the crowd were trying to speed his delivery up by singing Looking at the right speed, but he was having none of it "iii'mmm juusssttt looookkkkkiiiinnnnggggg" - zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Come on Kelly, cheer up please

As this was the biggest Charity Gig since Live Aid. I was a little disappointed that the televised coverage was not dedicated all day - say on BBC2 "Nationally". Not everyone has Sky or lives in Wales. I think it was such an important big event - it should have been.
