Thank all that is good, Paradise Lost will have another new album out in February. The self titled album, produced by Rhys Fulber, looks set to build on the foundations set by Symbol Of Life.

I for one can't wait. I just hope the crappy record label, GUN, actually hand the track and video over to the UK music channels and give it a chance (unlike the last album :( )

Never heard of this band.

Just listend to the sample. Nice dark tone to the song but sounds a bit cheesy.

Any recommended tracks ?

With no particular preference, 2 tracks from most of the last few albums. I think the band are a love em or ignore em kind of band. Shame really, just cos they're from Halifax.... ;)

Host - 'Ordinary Day' or 'Harbour' Their most melencholic album Most PL fans dislike it. I love it.
Draconian Times - 'Forever Failure', 'Hallowed Land' - doom/goth metal crossover. Classic
One Second - 'Say Just Words', 'Lydia' - Bit of a breakthrough album.
Symbol Of Life - 'Pray Nightfall' or 'Symbol of Life'. - A real return to form. great album.

Why the last few albums?

From Shades of God get Embraced, Pity the Sadness & As I Die

From Icon get Embers Fire, Joys of The Emptiness & True Belief.

Both of those albums are more harder guitar driven than the electro goth feel of the later albums. But it's all good. Very good.

Yeah, Not really much of a fan of the earlier stuff (lame, i know). only own DT onwards, (plus Reflections).

Thats great news, hadn't heard any news about them for a while. I like the new single, good to hear them continuing on from 'Symbol of Life' in the same vibe. Since 'Believe in Nothing' they have started to get back to their best, although i have a soft spot for 'Host'.

Favourite album tho is either 'Icon' or 'Draconian Times'. Saw them in Bristol a few years ago at the Fleece & Firkin, a very small venue and they were amazing. Hope they tour near again, they have a big following in Europe, mostly Germany i think so they tend to tour over there more.

Can't wait for the new album

Can somebody describe their music? My daughter likes 'em, and a mates sister-in-law married the drummer (I think it was the drummer).

I still wouldn't know 'em if they beat me up!

New 90 second 'pre-listenings' for 6 tracks now available at www.paradiselost.co.uk

The album was released in Germany today, so no doubt the whole thing will be on the net soon. As there is no official UK release date yet...

As much as I (used to) like Paradise Lost, Grey is a complete rip off of the start off riff to Alice Cooper Poison!!

I've had this album for a week or so now, not listened to it too much, but I think I already prefer it to Symbol of Life which I seriously enjoyed. This one can only grow on me more. Fulber's production is certainly noticable and at times Nick sounds like Burton C. Bell from Fear Factory. [Fulber is a long time collaborator/producer for FF and unofficial fifth member]. In short, this album rocks.
