Anyone going to see Adam Green play in the next couple of weeks or heard his new album yet? Its getting some good reviews in places that I wouldn't even expect to see a review like Metro and The Sun.

I never saw The Moldy Peaches live so i'm really looking forward to it. Embarassingly in Leeds the tickets say Adam Green (Mouldy Peaches) so not only does the promoter feel the need to point out which band he used to be in but also spells their name wrong.

Not a patch on Friends of Mine, with none of the wit of the afformentioned record...indeed I found it pretty annoying and samey, so there.

 Just ordered it from CD-Wow. Was hoping for at least more of the same not a drop in quality. Oh well I shall report back i've listened to it.

Oh it's still worth a buy, don't get me wrong, but it seemss a very different record and very 'organy', which is a personal hate of mine, so that could be why I'm a little harsh.

I thought this record was quite wonderful in parts. I agree with Lou with his patch reference. It's a very patchy album. :D

It struck me as a record where he went back to his old Moldy Peaches stuff while at the same time trying to be the modern Burt Bacharach.

His first album 'Friends Of Mine' focused on being the latter only and is a great record because of that.

He's massive in Europe. The UK hasn't really warmed to him and with his new album that's still going to be the case.

Back with my two peneth. I've listened to the album a few times and love it. Initially it does sound patchy but its a real grower.

Live is a different prospect though, he is fantastic! Very witty guy and puts on a good show. His backing band The Gnomes are also supporting with their own songs and they are also good. I bought their album last night cos of their set. I'm going to try and see the gig in Manchester on Tuesday now.

Saw him live in Newcastle last Thursday and it was very enjoyable.
