Right i have been trying to name and find this song for over 3 years now and have had no luck. No idea why i didnt think of asking here first. I think its an old happy hardcore tune. It was re-released about 3 years ago by starsplash under the name 'Rainbow in the sky' I think.

The lyrics go something like
" i wanna see a rainbow high in the sky
i wanna see you and me on a bird flying away
i wanna see a rainbow high in the sky
i wanna see blue bird flying over mountains again"

or something like that

This is one of my fave songs but have no idea what it is

Please can someone help me?

TIA
Awol

I know the track; wouldn't describe it as happy hardcore, though. Must be early 90s.

Sunshine after the Rain. Could that be the title?

I can't remember what it is called now, but I've probably got this round my Mum's house somewhere.

Sunshine after the Rain. Could that be the title?

That definitely the name of the original (by Zoe IIRC), but the other version is probably by Hixxy, Sy and Dougal and called "off me nappa, 'av it" or something equally wtf.

Charl Lownoise and Mental Theo were a dutch underground hardcore/gabber act in the early to mid 90's. Had a lot of quality tunes until they started producing that awful happy hardcore stuff.

Just done a quick check and Phuture Rave (http://www.phuturerave.com/view.php?pID=1157) have a couple left on vinyl. There are also quite a few Rotterdam Record backlog CDs that will have the track to.

Berri actually. And Elkie Brooks did the song waaaay before Berri (though not in a happy hardcore or any other dance-type way obviously)

Berri is bound to be the one you're familiar with. Came out at least twice with different mixes & was a hit both times IIRC.

Thanks Wezzy, I will have only ever heard it in shops and on the Radio so this will probably be it?

All i need to do now is find it on cd, any ideas?

There are quite a few different mixes done by other people using the same female vocal sample. here (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/craigkore/Paul%20ElstakRainbowSky.mp3) is the start of one of Paul Elstaks mixes. If you listen to that you can confirm it is the right female sample you are meaning. Trying to find the exact mix you like of it will be a bit of a task though as there are so many!

Sounds like the vocal sample mate, just had a quick listen to Berri and it sounds like D&B is it the wrong one?

I'm pretty sure the song you want is "sunshne after the rain" by Berri. I used to have this when it came out, tis a catchy little dance number.
