Anyone on here tried getting tickets before?

Im thinking of going this year and they haven't released much information yet. Id just like to know how much the tickets usually are and how likely it would be for me to get tickets to the latter stages, the semis/final.

Is it completely first come first serve or do they take into account how many matches you've already been to see in the tournament?

Any help much appreciated.

I've no idea but I've often wondered the same. I couldn't be arsed going to Sheffield, its too far away for me.

I think the UK is held at Preston and I've thought about going a few times but I'm not sure what the atmosphere would be like or what kind of view you get. Last time I watched on TV there were loads of spare seats to nearly all of the matches. If you watch it on BBBi interactive sometimes it looks like the arena is only about 20% full.

I went to the Welsh Open a few years back (when it was held in Newport - now switched it to Cardiff). We knew it was coming up and went to the venue and picked up a form that had all the matches on through to the final. You then filled in which matches you wanted and sent it back with your CC details. They said it was a ballot if over subscribed. We got all the tickets we wanted (1st rnd & QF) but I know alot of people missed out on tickets for the final. We didn't get to see who we wanted as they changed the draw so my calculated plan to Ronnie O'S in the QF didn't happen :(
