Micro-Scalextric mini set £20.00 @ Boots instore.

Boots in-store are getting rid of all their Christmassy gift stuff. No surprise there, but my local store had stacks & stacks of the micro-scalextric mini set (big figure of 8, chicanes an' that) for just £20.00, down from £40.00. Picked up a couple for kids' pressies for 2005. :thumbs:

also they've got a really good table football table at £25 from £50

Also had loads of remote controlled Harley Davidsons at half price for 60 quid at my local store (Leeds City Centre).

Could just work for you, pieman - saw mine in the Keighley store. Had about 20 Scalextric sets and 4 table-footies. Skipton train - 25 mins or so. :thumbs:

Just been to Norwich (Castle Mall) branch & bought scalextric (for the kids ofcourse :) ). Also found 1/2 price computerised chess game down to £12.50 - so cheers OP :thumbs:
