It seems owners of the individual extended editions of LOTR can get a slipcase to put them in here (http://www.lotrdvdbox.com/) for only $3...unfortunately, you have to have a US address :(

...anyone know of a UK equivalent offer?

As this is only open to the US I am moving it to the Suppliers Forum as it is likely to become a huge discussion thread in here and isn't entirely relevant (not available in the UK).

...and will now be pretty much ignored in here...I was hoping someone might know of a UK supplier of these...or a way do get past the US only rule!

...I really, really want one of these, why do we always get ignored over here?! :oh-hum:

A bit sad, Krinkle...life's too short! You're more interested in packaging then watching the film!!!

...yeeeees...it's for the peeps that got the individual releases, a very nice slip case that holds the 3 extended editions. ;)

Panavision, you're just an idiot and that's all I have to say to you! :cuckoo:

It's been mentioned in this thread http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321897 that we should all contact new line via their form at http://www.newline.com/contactus.shtml - a few of us have done this including myself

If you really want one of them, ask in a UK shop that sells the trilogy box set. Our local Safeway for instance had a few of the outer boxes filled with foam and a display only sticker on them. I'm sure they would let you have one after Christmas once they stop selling it (i.e. after it falls out of the charts).

The R1 boxes are bigger than the R2 boxes though, so unfortunately a R2 slipcase won't work.

Ah, how handy that I get to work with nice people who live in the US and I can pop over to get one some time in the New Year (well 8-10 weeks after they order one for me!) Yippee nice shiny box for me (I hope!!!)

Dropped them a line via http://www.newline.com/contactus.shtml
If enough of us write to them they may consider doing it world wide.

Unfortunately, I don't think the ten-thirty people that contact them from the DVD Forums will have much of an impact.

Can any one set up a poll and use that? It may get more response.

Try changing the currency on the left to 'british pounds'. ;)

Anyone had any sort of reply from New Line? So far heard nothing... you'd think they were on holiday or something...
