Didn't someone post recently that Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is out in R2 soon (and R4 early next year for half the price  )?

Unfortunately, just found out - 'The Man With Two Brains' is 4:3 Fullscreen.
R2 Death Becomes Her is at least in widescreen (1.85:1) unlike the 4:3 R1 BUT it is non-anamorphic and the print used is pretty grainy and all in all it's a very sub-standard disc.
I heard rumblings months ago about a R1 SE sometime in the future - I'd wait for that if I were you!

Thanks for the reply. I did not know they were available at all.
I think the Steve Martin films in general are treated poorly on dvd (except Bowfinger) , and I will not buy a film if its a shoddy 4:3 disc.
Early martin / Reiner films are some of the best comedy films ever made so I think they should have better versions available.

Roxanne - anamorphic and a pretty good picture. If you like the film buy it and Death Becomes Her, I'd agree with the previous post - pretty poor really
