I'm still struggling to get OSD working.

i have connected the s-video cable from monitor out to the s-video connection on the front of my toshiba but still get the message on the amp "DISPLAY OFF"

i have tried it with the monitor out video connection to the front of the tv but same message.

i have turned the display on setup to auto and also blue but still no on screen display.

Iknow you dont need this facility as you can do it with the display on the amp but i want to know if the amp is faulty or am i just doing something silly

any help please

thank
mike

maybe a silly question !! but have you turned your telly to the channel that would be receiving the signal.... i knoe i am most probably stating the obvious but sometimes thats all it needs!!

Like jason t has said, have you set the TV to the correct AV channel?

Also, it may be the same on your TV, mine shares the AV3 channel between the rear SCART and the front composite/s-video connecter and you have to manually select which one to use.

I've tried this but when i press the remote for osd it comes up with the message DISPLAY OFF.
Now if i was on the wrong channel it would still come up with the message short or long display on the front of the amp would'nt it?

Thanks

Mike

Have you read your manual? :p

The following is from my Yammy 1000 manual:

Press 'On Screen' on the remote control repeatedly to change the screen mode.

The OSD changes in the following order; full display, short display and display off.

You can't adjust the front speakers volume seperately. AFAIK the only way to do this is with the l/r balance control.
