Hi all,
My parent have recently bought some surrounds & a center c/o the bargin forums. Now my dad is looking for and Amp & Player to got with them.
The amp should be good with stereo and easy to use. (they don't like the idea of a processor btw). A dvd player that's good with cd's would be good as well.
The speakers are KEF Q55, Q95 & Q85's is that's any help.
Should I be pointing them at marantz? Max budget isabout £750
thanks!!!
:D
Max budget £750 eh ?
We can do this...
Amp Denon AVR1802 - nice bit of kit, list price £450 but you'll get it cheaper. It does ProLogic 2 as well as DD/dts, and bangs out about 80 watts per channel
Player Pioneer 444 - see Justin's sticky at the top of the Bargain Forum - £280 for a multi-region supersexyslim player, although What HiFi (December issue page 15) don't reckon it for CD output.
Just my opinion on what I'd buy if someone gave me £750 to spend :D
No doubt there'll be others...

Amp - Marantz SR4200 or SR5200 - Unlike Denon kit currently, at least Marantz are occasionally delivering stock to dealers!!
DVD Player - Pioneer Dv444 or as you want audio reply, Marantz DV4100OSE
Both affordable in your budget:)

Justin,
How do the marantz amps change with each model? Does quality get better, or just the power?
