It rather depends on the meaning of "mainland europe dvds".Some dvds are only available from certain countries.Denmark/Spain/France/Germany/Italy..you get the picture. Not much help i guess. :)

also:
www.cinestore.com
www.musicbox.fr (even if you don't order from here, it's very good on the level of info it gives about disks)
www.fnac.com

you can compare prices of disks from france at http://fr.kelkoo.com

on edit: as the above says, it depends on the country - those I've given are for france. Other possibles are:

for germany - www.amazon.de
italy - www.dvdit.oop.it
spain - www.dvdgo.com

All of the above except www.fnac.com who charge too much for French DVDs.

Which titles are you after?

Denmark: www.dvdoo.dk
Spain : www.dvdgo.com
Germany : www.amazon.de
Italy: www.dvd.it
France:as above (Watch out for cinestore, who seem to add every tax imaginable to the final price.)

Sorry to but in but Im after "Abre los ojos" / open your eyes. wheres the best place to get it. I know theres a very cheap american version but its stripped pretty bare. the spanish version is jam packed but are the extras subbed at all?

also how about lost highway, which is the best version to get do ya think? I have recently found an Italian versian which now means I have to choose out of ital / german / australian???

Thanks dom

Yes, Fnac are expensive, but they occassionally have things that are hard to find elsewhere. They had Ozu's Tokyo Story in stock when either no one else had it, or would have to put it on order. (It's currently winging its way to me)
