Cheers for that Lenny.
Looking forward to this one. BHC is one of my all time faves and it'll be great to get this. Hope the Comm is worth listening to too.

Good news, Lenny.
I loved the first one -Don't rate the follow ups, though. Been wanting this disc for 2-3 years.
Agreed i was beginning to think it would never come out. It was great when it was announced on Studio Day. If there is one disapointment i would have to say the lack of an isolated score. I don't usually listen to these but for BHC i would make an exception. Although dated it is by far my most favourite soundtrack.
This film is the film that started my love of movies and i can't wait to get the little buggar.:D

I wonder how the "retrospective interviews will be".

Shouldn't #2 be in 2.35:1? It was filmed in Super 35, so maybe they opened the matte up a bit.
In any case, I never rated the first film much (and I saw it twice), detested the second and never saw the third...so I think I'll be saving my money this time.
Never knew that Mr Jerry Bruckheimer was behind Beverley Hills Cop 1 & 2 - only found out a few weeks back!

The news site only said that it'll be 1.85 and english 5.1 for all three titles, I just spread out specs for each individually, so they might be mistaken, also there is a theatrical trailer for part III too.

Yes, but Martin Brest who made the truly brilliant Midnight Run (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0095631) also directed the first film.
There's no doubt about the other films -Violent nasty trash.
My credit Card will hate me, but I must own this trilogy!

I agree with you there APPRIA, the sequels in no way matched up to the first although i like the second one for the fact it kept that BHC style to it. The music, pace and action (violent as you say). But ultimately it was lacking that something the first one had in abundance.
It's funny when i first watch BHC3 i loved it but i must have been 11 or 12 at the time. Never saw it again until it was shown on BBC a while back and i just hated it with a passion. It no longer felt like a BHC movie and i can't understand what it is i saw in it in the first place. They obviously tried to hard at making it a comedy and it just lost what i loved about the series in the first place.
So for me BHC 1 is a must buy, i might put off BHC 2 until i find a cheapy and BHC3 can stay forever wrapped in cellophane for all i care.
