Hi im wanting to transfer footage from a camcorder using the i.link connector on it to my pc but i cant find an i.link connection on it or the i.link symbol. There is a small connection at the back which looks similar but the symbol looks like a 'Y'. My device manager lists 'IEEE1394 Bus Host Controllers'. Is that it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i beleive the i.link connector is Sony's way of describing a standard IEEE1394 "firewire" connector when it's on their hardware :)
Creative Labs soundcards also often have a varient of it that they give their own name to as it doesn't supply the same current as the official IEEE1394 standard (it's compatibleapart from the fact it can't power other devices)
[edit]
please double check though :)
