View Full Version : Help daisy chaining new DVD please!
Wooo! I have a new DVD player (my first)!
Only problem is, I'm not sure how to hook it up to everything.
I have Pioneer DV444S with 1 scart out, and no scart ins, a VCR with 1 scart out, no scart in, an NTL/Pace digital decoder with 1 each of scart in and out, and a TV with RF.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Do you have any scart sockets on your TV (how many)?

Most TV sets these days come with at least 2 scart sockets, if this is the case and you are wanting to use scart for all connections, you will be needing a device like these **sorry original links won't work** here at Argos (http://www.argos.co.uk) (key in Cat.No. 535/1321 and Cat.No. 534/0370) and you would go about connecting it like this........

Or if you didn't want to use one of those you could always connect the NTL or VHS to the TV using an RF lead.

SB - What you on about mate?
If the TV has got 2 sockets as per your diag, why not daisy chain the DVD or the VCR thru the digibox? No need for a SCART box.

For some reason i was presuming the Digibox had only 2 OUTPUT sockets, just re-read Wendy's original post and noticed the in/out reference...d'oh.
Anyhoo have you nothing better to be doing with your Saturday than hanging around here. :p :D
