Just about to get a nikon D70 from http://www.warehouseexpress.com/ has anyone used them? Are they reliable?

I used them to buy an Archos MP3 player this time last year and had no problems with them. Had good customer service and were very helpful when answering my questions regarding their 0% interest options. I'd use them again if need be.

Yes, they're excellent - very good customer service should you need it. One of the most highly regarded photography retailers, though their prices are rarely the lowest they're usually pretty decent.

Bought my Casio QV5700 from them almost a year ago now. Ordered it by phone as I wanted to check that it was in stock. Customer service was friendly and it arrived when I expected it.

No complaints here really. Good communication and support. They've even chucked in freebies with my order.

The only minor niggle is they don't have online stock checking, but you can phone or email and they respond quickly.


Prices aren't too bad if you're comparing to Jessops (who are overpriced and overrated in my opinion, and Jessops high street staff are clueless I've found!).

Another thumbs up for warehouse express. I bought a large telescope from them a couple of years ago and delivery and service were first class

As an illustration of the good service I mentioned - ordered an EOS 1D2 on Wednesday. Arrived first thing Thursday. Tested it, mostly happy but there is a glaring dead pixel on every shot - very noticeable on dark backgrounds as it becomes bright red then. Rang them this morning to ask for a replacement and didn't even get that far after explaining about the dead pixel - they offered to not only replace it, but also to pick up the duff one at the same time.

I've known bricks and mortar retailers to argue the toss over similar faults and need a fair amount of consumer law quoted at them - it's really a pleasure to deal with a company who will just sort problems out without mucking you about in any way.
