Region 1 - Deer Hunter any good?

Wanted to get The Deer Hunter for ages, just seen it on

and wonder if anyone knew if this was a good transfer etc?

It’s got to be better than the Dutch R2 version. Non-anamorphic and in stereo, picture as grainy as hell. I know it’s not exactly what you asked, but I just had to get that off my chest. Don’t touch this release with a barge pole.
