I previously set my router up without encryption (ie my wireless connection is currently unsecure), but now I have enabled filesharing, can I set it up in retrospect?

I have looked on various icons and properties tabs, but can't seem to find an option, so again any help is welcomed and I thank you in advance!

WAS:
Can I use a Linksys broadband router to wirelessley network my PC drives?

I recently replaced my old 11g wireless access point in favour of the 54g Linksys broadband router and matching notebook card.

Primarily I am happy with a shared internet connection, which the linksys products provide flawlessly (touch wood!).

Question is: before I go fiddling, am I able to use these hardware products to create a wireless PC network between the two PCs, or is the router simply a device for sharing broadband only?

Thanks for any advice.

You should be able to do just about anything you like with it! Sinmply share the drives on each pc and away you go!

Yep - set up the encryption via the router's control panel and then enter the relevant stuff in the network properties. Are you using WinXP?
