Well that was a bit of a surprise, I must say. Not used to big shakeups in CSI! Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

As the two shifts follow each other will we see some interaction between the characters or will the show just follow both shifts i wonder?

Do you think this episode could have been as a result of those 2 characters being sacked for requesting a pay increase and then being reinstated :shrug:

Was just wondering if this had been written in at the time of the sacking to make a point of saying that the show can easily go on without them????

Only one was sacked for a pay increase, the other (George Eads) just didn't get up early enough and the producers assumed he was playing the same game as the woman who plays Sarah Sidle and sacked him. Thus the joke in the first episode about him being late.
