Damn Firefox! Grrrr! Help

i installed firefox to try it out(didn't like it, too slow etc.) so i uninstall it and go back to IE. now when i try a link in an email from outlook express......nothing happens??? my computer can't find IE now cos' firefox didn't reconfiguer when it uninstalled itself.

anyone know how to get IE from email, now?

If you have XP:

Start Menu -> All Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults

Under Custom select IE as the web browser

or in IE itself - tools ->options->programs -> check "make sure IE is default browser" or whatever it says..

then close it and restart the application. It should ask you to make it default again

And another firefox question (I thought I'd add rather then start another thread)....

I downloaded it yesterday and the install went fine and it copied over all my Internet connection settings (I use a proxy over a network) but I can't get the damn thing to work properly.

The annoying thing is, the settings obviousley work because when I start firefox, the first website I go to works fine. Then I'll go to another, and again fine. As soon as I try a third I'll get some 404 error saying the site isn't available. No matter what site I try, all I get are errors. If I close firefox down and open it again, the sites work for the first 2 visits again.

IE6 works absolutely perfectly and looking at the settings in firefox and comparing them to IE, they're identical.

Any ideas? :thinking:
