View Full Version : recommend me a good dishwasher
thinking of buying one in the near future to which is a good make/model to get?
I've always gone with Bosch - never had a problem - and does a gr8 job.

Those are pretty much the best. I have a Zanussi which has provided great service and was a lot better priced than the Bosch. AEG and whirlpool also make good ones.

Bosch are the Mercedes, but the Rolls Royce without doubt is Miele.
Cost you a little bit more, but they provide a 5 year warranty, and they are built like a Tank.

Mines a whirlpool one, its a few years old now, but is still working just great. As with everything you get what you pay for. I dont know if they do cheapo models, but if they do avoid them.
Definitely, one of the Whirlpool Sixth Sense AAA rated models
ADP6830 or ADP6940 (around £300 for either the 6940 has LCD display)
Whisper silent, multizone and multiprogram, and the top rack can be raised/lowered to increase space for the top or bottom
seems a straight fight [features wise] between the Hotpoint FDW80P and the Bosch SGS47E02GB...

Ask yourself whether you will really use all those programs and features. If so, fair enough, but *most* people use either the "normal" or "economy" and not much else.
Personally I would put AEG/Bosch/Whirlpool in a similar bracket, with Miele one step above (but you will pay extra for this).

I have the BOSCH EXXCEL MAXX and everything else I have had in the past pales in comparrison. The BOSCH is fully automatic and sense how dirty the dishes are and adjusts the wash accordingly (making it economical both with electricity & water). Wonderfull bit of engineering
i saw it - it is stunning but a bit pricey. i was aiming for about the £300 mark
Another vote for Bosch...................Ours is 10 years old and still going strong!!
