Watched Joe Dirt last night. From Happy Madison (production company behind The Animal, Deuce Bidalow et all). Same old story some loser that nobody likes (apart from the viewer) goes on a journey to find himself and turns out to be a hero by the end of the film. It was funny and contains possibly the funniest scene ever filmed A dog with his testicles frozen to the porchway :D but parts also dragged slightly.

The DVD looks quite good as well

Overall. Better than The Animal but not quite up to the standard of Deuce Bigalow.

Happy Madison fans - 8/10
Groundhog Day fans - 5/10 ;):p

i would say if you like David Spade you'll probably love this as it seems to be the perfect role for him

The best scene by far and without a doubt has to be: (People who have seen the film will know what I mean) -

'He puts the lotion on. HE PUTS THE LOTION ON.'

How bizzare. IMHO that was possibly the worst joke in the film and the constant references to it made it even worse. Even the Pilot was funnier.

Funny thing is people could be put off with it being David Spade cos lets face it, he's not usually the 'funny character' in the films he's in (That was usually left for the late Chris Farley).

I completely agree though, this film was perfect for him (probably cos he wrote it)
