I have a dell dimension 8300 (p4 2.5ghz) pc but the case is all cracked up one side and Dell will not replace it. It looked horrible before but now it just looks rank.

Could I possibly remove everything from inside to a different case? Like the chelp one in the bargain forum at the moment.

It's basically the motherboard I am worried about do Dell use some kind of proprietary (sp) mb's which cannot be used in another case?

Also would I be able to move the psu across or would I have to fork out for a new one?

yes, you should be able to stick the innards in a new case. The only thing that you may need from the old case is the plate that covers all the usb ports/ printer ports/ serial ports etc.

don't quote me on this though :D
