View Full Version : Queens Of The Stone Age new album
Just read on CDTimes that the new QOTSA album is due to come out March 2005 instead of this month (oh well, must be patient).
Am looking forward to this even more now that I know that Shirley Manson is on one of the tracks.
I thought Songs For The Deaf was a great album, and I listen to it regularly. Anyone else looking forward to this?
I can't wait. I love the last two albums and will listen to anything Chris Goss has something to do with...
Hey, what's up with the first album!
It's just as good as the other 2. :)
I thought they'd split up?!

Oh, it's on my list of things to get....not to worry...just haven't gotten round to it yet... :)

The first album is probably the best of the three. Relaxing and heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeavy!! Like a kind of trip rock.
Looking forward to this too. Seen them twice live. Awesome.

There's a new track (at least I think it's new) on the PC Need For Speed: Underground 2 demo. Quite a random place to air it, I thought...

umm, yeah.. so did I? :?:
They didn't Josh Homme sacked Nick Oliveri a year or so after songs for the deaf. Homme is QOTSA really, until he knocks it on they head they're here to stay. Can't wait for some new material.

Nick is the guy on vocals for "Feel like a Millionaire" and "six shooter" right? The crazy red-neck looking one that goes nude at the concerts..? If so, it's a sad loss cos his raw insanity was part of the QotSA flavour. Any idea why he was sacked? I heard a wishy washy type of answer from Josh.

He was sacked because he's a mentalist.

Oh!! I didn't know Oliveri was supporting Lanegan. I wasn't sure what he was up to after being sacked from Mondo Generator...
As for what he gets up to on stage, last time I saw Mondo, he was in a skirt...
Edit: Apparently, he'll be playing solo, acoustic Punk. And he wasn't sacked from Mondo... The wonderful world of the internet!

Saw Oliveri do a tune with Lanegan at the Leeds festival. He actually sang and didn't do his usuall screaming whilst naked bit.
Which was nice.

He sings 'Another Love Song' on Songs For the Deaf too.
