Training Day

I'd read some decent reviews of this film ranging from the very positive to "better than most 'experienced cop teaches rookie the ways of the streets' films".

Unfortunately, while it is slightly better than most of its genre, its not worth a special trip to the cinema, doing nothing new and having almost no story with mediocre acting.

Give it a miss...

Not flaming or anything but I disagree, Denzel is awesome and keeps you interested from the first second he is on the screen.

Cracking film cant wait for the DVD

I was in Sweden with some friends over the weekend and saw that Training Day was already out (not here til Feb next year) so we went and saw it - my friends weren't that impressed but thought it was worth seeing (i think they'd agree with "better than most 'experienced cop teaches rookie the ways of the streets' films") but i thought it was pretty good (Denzel especially).. the jury's out on whether to get the DVD at the moment tho :)

my bro just got it on DVD from Play so i think i might have to go round and watch it at the weekend :)
