Can i get dolby d from my xbox without using a advanced scart lead.
I have a DD amp but with only phono imputs.

Unfortunately not I'm afraid, it'll have to use a digital in.

I'd suggest getting the advanced scart cable anyway, dolby 5.1 or not. The improvement in picture quality was well worth the asking price :)

I'd 2nd that. Made the mistake of buying a 3rd party scart lead first...:(

To use DD from the X-Box you need an amp with either an optical or coax digital in, if your amp doesn't have either of those it's not actually a Dolby Digital amp just a multi-channel amp with multi-channel external in, but no onboard dolby digital decoder.
