yeah i know, its a damned pity, although u can get dreamcasts to play divX / AVI movies - dunno how though but have a wee look around on the web!

Is DivX really that good that you'd want to burn a CDR withit ( i assume thats what you mean )

I still havn't managed to get Windows media player to handle a DivX avi off the net.

Anyone got any tips.?

divx is pretty good, although a lot depends on the encoding/decoding codec, which are still rather flakey at the moment. I have a player called The Playa which works quite well (better than Media Player, which kept freezing the image but carrying on playing the audio). It's included in the divx 4.0 bundle, but I got it from a friend so I don't have the url - sorry.
