My next door neighbor has a Sony DAVS 400 Home Theatre with a sound field setting locked onto "Headphone Theatre". It will play sound through headphones but not through the external speakers. This is on home theatre and 2CH headphones settings. I've tried all the settings I can think off, but with no luck, so I thought I would consult the all knowing DVD forums
I cannot bring up the other sound field settings, except the two mentioned.
He had not put any headphones into the DVD player when headphone theatre message appeared.
He disconnected the DVD player for 72 hours trying to make the whole system reset, but with no success. He has tried numerous discs in case there was a problem with a certain disc, again with no success.
I went round and double checked all the connections at the back of the DVD player, all are secure and I can find no problem with them.
Can any of you guys and gals suggest a way to fix this problem?
