Looking for a bit of advice here please.

I've already got an LG 1710B TFT monitor (with DVI), but I want to make it dual-screen. The question is, do I get another 1710B with DVI to dual-DVI it, or just get the cheaper 1710S with regular VGA input?

My current graphics card is pretty old and just does single VGA output so I'll be upgrading that - but the question is, do I do dual-DVI, dual-VGA or one of each (if that is that possible)? Or will I notice too much difference between the VGA and DVI screens?

And lastly (so many questions!), can anyone recommend any good cards with dual outputs and decent performance?

most DVI outputs on current graphics cards have pins for VGA as well, and usually the card will come with a DVI to VGA converter :)

As for duel DVI cards, a lot of the Geforce 6800's come in duel DVI versions (my brothers XFX one has duel DVI with TV out, and came with two DVI to VGA adaptors).
Almost all the recent Radeon and Geforce cards come with at least a DVI and a VGA and can use both at once.

As I understand it the main benefit with DVI for TFT's is that it doesn't need any adjustments to get the best possible picture for the display/card combo.

Matrox do dual DVI cards, but they are not that great with games, i'd get the TFT with a VGA input and get a card which has a DVI and VGA output on it.

My 19" Sharp TFT works well with just D-SUB, as long as you adjust it properly. I don't think it's worth paying the extra for a high-end 6800 if you're not going to use it.
