View Full Version : The Pioneer dv444 and POTA
Any one else encountered any problems with this disk?
My Problem is that it gets nearly 6 mins to the end of the film, the bit where theyre are buring the dead...something about un marked graves, then it stops, the machine resets and I have to skip back to that point, the resume function doesnt work at this point. Is it the fact it is Neuon enhanced?
Any help would be gratefuly received...Thanks
Burn
I take it that the distinct lack of interest in this thread means that no-one with a pioneer dv 444 has had a problem with this disk..either that or your just ignoring me...
Haven't got POTA yet, but Swordfish & Driven did similar to me on my 444 - Seems it's not perfect

I read that post but it didnt seem the same sort of thing...right here is a simple explanaition, simple, cos i have a bad memory, when it gets to where i said it dod it literaly stops playing, the screen goes back to the pioneer screen, it doesnt freeze it just dies. This is no help is it? damn, maybe if the same happens to you you will let me know?
I'll let u know - may be a while before i get my hands on POTA thou:(
Just thought in was in the same area - last 10 mins of film.

Hmm Burn,
Your description of what happened matches what happens to me playing Bridget Jones 15 mins from the end on my new 646a.
I've had loads of R2 rentals now and it only happens on the BR. J disk (strategically placed R there:D )

Any further updates on this matter?

All I can add is that I've had the 646A for nearly a forthnight and the Br J dvd r1 is so far the only problem.
But the layer change is VERY noticable on most DVD's I've watched-But as long as I get to see the whole thing in one go-and Sound and pic quality is imo excelent-I'm not complaining :)

Turns out it was just a faulty disk. The pioneer is overly sensative to scratches on the disk.
