So.
probably spoken about before, but with the search facility being no more I thought I'd check opinions.
Just saw some clips from this on Stop Kung Fu (a programme on Choice) and it looked wicked. Kind of a Matrix meets OUATIC.
Is it worth getting?
especially as I can get it from DDD for about £8.70 odd

I saw that too.
I was rather surprised how keen they were on the film.
Wasn't too keen on it, myself. The film was over long and most of the fights were rather dull. Dispite some rather impressive ( for Hong Kong SFX )
The R2 disc is a 2 disc job with a widescreen version that's subtitled and a Pan and Scan version which is dubed. There's also a short making of documentry.
BTW they showed the best bits on the show.

Cheers. Maybe I'll hold off on that then.

There's a guy on eBay selling sealed R2 versions for about £9.99 plus P & P. I got mine off him for a total of 10.69 - pretty good when the cheapest is about 14.99.

And like I say - the R2 version which has (almost the same as the HK version) :
Disc 1: Widescreen version with English subtitles, full screen English version, 5.1 Dolby Digital, fully interactive moving menus, scene selection
Disc 2: Exclusive "Making Of" featurette, theatrical trailers, music video, biographies and filmographies of cast & filmmaker, official production stills gallery
but that you said

An Andrew Lau movie ... take a wide berth as ALL his movies are crap except stormriders and To live and die in TST.
Got mine for about £8 at Blockbuster ex-rental. Some interesting social commentary about the treatment of Chinese immigrants in the US, with the action sequences being fairly average. Pleased I didn't pay full price, but not a waste of time if you like the genre - there's plenty worse out there.
