View Full Version : Down From The Mountain
I nearly fainted when I saw this in our local Vshop
What's it like ? Is it stereo or 5.1 ?
Is it true that the immense "Man of Constant Sorrow" is NOT one of the songs featured ?
For fats snake who the hell organised a concert to celebrate the music from O Brother and then didnt include the best song from the film (!)
Paul
PS No the search facility isnt working
I think "Man of Constant Sorrow" was missed out because Dan Tyminski couldn't repoduce the same performance as he did for the film.

It's stereo and it's wonderful and it's in the 2 for £22 offer at Virgin along with the re-released O Brother and the Down from The Mountain doc on Oh Brother is different from the Down from The Mountain doc on Down from the Mountain...
..if that makes sense..

Yeah, thats where I picked them up from - a wonderful concert, just wish the documentary was longer.
Buy it now!
Thanks for the positive feedback ...
Interesting you mention the disc is stereo - Have you got a R2 version as amazon.com lists the R1 as follows ...
Discographic Information:
DVD Encoding: Region 1
Layers: Dual
Available Audio Tracks: English (Dolby Digital 5.1), English (Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround)
Any suggestions - Are they wrong ? - Is this a Region thing ?
TIA - Paul
Can anyone answer the query below re the sound on this DVD ?
