Sony 725 Problem - Help Please

Dear All,

Does anyone out there have a Sony 725 DVD player that can help me with the following problem.
Every time i insert a new disk the player's Display/Video Equalization changes (picture/brightness/color/sharp settings)
So i have to manually adjust the picture to each dvd i watch.
Surley i can set then and store them permanatly ?
Any ideas ??

Hi,

i've had my 725 two years now and haven't experienced anything like this. Sound like a battery/NVRAM kinda problem but that's just me speculating.

Is this player new or less than 12 months old? If so take it back to your supplier.

If not you could always try Sony UK. If it's been modified for Multiregion though, they may be reluctant to help out.

The player is about 2 years old as well,and yes it has been modified.
The problem has always been there.
No other problems,its a fantastic bit of kit.

Don't Sony's remember any settings you make for a DVD and adjust when it recognises the disk. This could be the root of the problem. Perhaps this function is faulty in some way...
