CD Wow - Marilyn Manson Best of CD/DVD Delays

Is anyone else still waiting for this from CD Wow? I ordered it just under 2 weeks ago, when it was supposedly in stock, and have been receiving e-mails saying it's been delayed every 2 days or so from CD Wow. Got the latest one today saying it's now delayed until 15th October.

I know a lot of people have been having problems with pre-orders from CD Wow, but this item was actually in stock when I ordered it (and for a few days after I ordered it!) It's gettting quite annoying now. :(

13th September?! I ordered on 4th October, so why on Earth were they still accepting orders if they've not been able to supply orders from the middle of September?

When was it released - was yours a pre-order?

Received it over a week ago. Lovely digipack as well. :)

I've noticed that there's a large postal delay with my orders recently, but I put that down to our slack posties

Well, just got home to find an e-mail from CD Wow saying that they're out of stock of it (like I didn't already know that) and that they are awaiting a shipping date from their supplier. Doesn't sound too good to me.

Anyone know of anywhere that is doing this for a reasonable price?

Got my copy from CD-WOW about a week ago after initially receiving two shipment delay messages.

Decided to cancel the disc from cd wow yesterday as I too kept getting "sorry for the delay emails".Could have got it from somewhere else by now. :(

I got it at WH Smith (£14.99) at lunchtime, as everywhere I looked had run out of it and weren't able to get any more stock. HMV were the only other place to have it and they're charging £16.99!

It's in the buy one get one half price deal, so I got the Guns N Roses DVD (Welcome To The Videos) for £5.49. I'm just glad I got it!

Just e-mailed CD Wow to cancel the order. Hopefully they'll confirm the cancellation soon.

Well, they'd better send my one - it was a pre-order!

I don't want to cancel as I ordered it via the Egg cashback offer and it only cost me £8.80.

btw, if you send an email to cd-wow having a moan, they usually send you an e-voucher. Might be worth it even if you cancelled the order.

To be honest, I don't think it's their fault - their supplier has been telling them that they can get it soon, when clearly they're having problems.

I hope you get it as yours was a pre-order and it makes me very annoyed tht someone who pre-ordered might miss out when others have ordered after it was released and received it already.

I would seriously consider (if you really really want it) looking for it elsewhere. If Woolworths had any stck it would be £12.99 (unless the sign in store was wrong, which wouldn't actually surprise me as 2 of the shop assistants tried to fob me off with the normal version of the CD!) It's £14.99 at WH Smith if they have it.

I might be wrong, but I do think it's becoming harder to get as a lot of places are running out of it and are unable to get further copies. Admittedly, it was a guy in Music Zone that told me they couldn't get it anymore, so maybe he didn't know what he was talking about, but I've had a good look around and couldn't find anywhere other than WH Smith and HMV that actually had it.

Online places see to be running out too.

Amazon have it for £12.99, so if you were planning on getting anything else from them (that would take the order over £19) then it might be worth getting it from them.

Also, I was impressed with CD Wow - within an hour of contacting them they'd sent me a replacement £2 e-voucher (as I'd ordered it using one of my vouchers) and I had a WorldPay e-mail saying I'd been refunded. Pretty good customer services, unlike Play recently...

It actually appears that this is pretty much a limited edition, rather than one of those ltd editions which is still available a year later.

Following your suggetsion, I might take a peek in town next week and grab a copy.

CD-Wow customer services are brilliant, in my opinion.

Bit late replying. Yeap, I'm still waiting. Have also been getting regular emails saying that they are waiting for the supplier to get stock. I emailed them last week and got a reply saying it was a problem at the suppliers end. Today I got this from them :-

I cancelled and re-ordered at Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/redirect-home?tag=thedvdforums-21&site=dvd), already shipped. I've had this happen with CD-Wow (http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click?p=3128&a=60823&g=17349) before when Air's Walkie Talkie has a bonus dvd, they eventually came back and said they couldn't get it :(

I wouldn't wait for it. try getting it somewhere else as I really don't think they're going to get it in. I might be wrong, but while you can get it elsewhere if it's something you really want, pay a little extra to get it (it is worth it.)
