Can anybody clarify some info on the above.....

The r2 according to Play.....

...has the Jungle/Manilla fights as extras, but the aspect ratio for the disk is 4:3

However the r1 also according to Play.....

....doesn'ts have the fights as extras, but is 1:85:1 ratio.

Is this correct ? Are there any other regions that combine these two discs (ie some form of 'widescreen' ratio and the fight extras) ?

I can confirm that the R2 disc is anamorphic widescreen for the main feature, though obviously the extras are 4:3 (as one would expect).

In fact, I'm quite surprised the main feature isn't 4:3 too, given that it was shot in 16mm.
